SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR SPRING SEMESTER 2010
New students planning on attending BTVU to study Chinese next semester (from March 8 to July 9) may apply for the scholarship (RMB 2500 Yuan for those living in the campus, and RMB 1500 Yuan for those living outside). The requirements are as follows:
1. All the applicants must be long-term students, that is, they must take 20 classes for each week;
2. Those who apply for the 2500 Yuan-scholarship must live in the dorm when studying at BTVU (students who are awarded the scholarship may also receive a discount on accommodation: 35 Yuan per bed per day for the double room, or 70 Yuan per room per day for the single room).
The awarding procedures are as follows:
Those whose applications are approved will get partial scholarship (1000 Yuan for those living in the campus, and 700 Yuan for those living outside) first. Those living in the campus must prepay 7000 Yuan, and those living outside must prepay 7300 Yuan.
During the whole semester, if their attendance remains above 80% and their average scores reach 75% or above, those living in the campus will get 1500 Yuan for the remaining scholarship, and those living outside will get 800 Yuan. However, those who cannot reach the requirements will not get the remaining scholarship.
