SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR SPRING AUTUMN 2010
New students planning on attending BJOU to study Chinese next semester (from September 06 2010 to January 07 2011) may apply for the scholarship.
I. In-campus Students
(1) Award: CNY CNY2500/person
(2) Requirements:
i. Must be long-term students, that is, they must take 20 sessions for each week;
ii. Live in the BJOU dorm when studying at BJOU (students who are awarded the scholarship may also receive a discount on accommodation: CNY35 per bed per day for the double room, or CNY70 per room per day for the single room).
(3) Award Distribution:
Those whose applications are approved will get partial scholarship (1st part): CNY1000/person (that's to pay the tuition fee of CNY7000/person ). During the whole semester, if the attendance rate keeps 80% and the average score in final exam reaches 75 or above, the applicants will get the rest scholarship (2nd part): CNY1500/person (that's to get the refund fee of CNY1500/person). However, applicant fails to reach the requirements will not be able to get the rest part scholarship.
II. Outside-campus Students
(1) Award: CNY 1500 /person
(2) Requirements:
Must be long-term students, that is, they must take 20 sessions for each week;
(3) Award Distribution:
Those whose applications are approved will get partial scholarship (1st part): CNY700/person (that's to pay the tuition fee of CNY7300/person ). During the whole semester, if the attendance rate keeps 80% and the average score in final exam reaches 75 or above, the applicants will get the rest scholarship (2nd part): CNY800/person (that's to get the refund fee of CNY800/person). However, applicant fails to reach the requirements will not be able to get the rest part scholarship.

Applicants will be qualified to get this part scholarship (2nd Part) under the conditions that the attendance rate keeps 80% and the average score in final exam reaches 75 or above.
If drop-out occures during the semester, the applicant should return the scholarship and pay the extra accommodation fee wihout any discounts.
Applicant should complete the scholarship application form (download the form from http://hjzx.btvu.org or get the form from the office), and submit the form to the office before June 18 2010.
